Blue Highways: A Journey Into America
by William Least Heat-Moon
"Sparkling white snowdrifts, beautiful presents wrapped in ribbons, and multicolored lights glittering in the night through the falling snow. A Christmas Eve snowstorm transforms one small town into a romantic haven, the kind you see only in movies. Well, kinda. After all, a cold and wet hike from a stranded train through the middle of nowhere would not normally end with a delicious kiss from a charming stranger. And no one would think that a trip to the Waffle House through four feet of snow would lead to love with an old friend. Or that the way back to true love begins with a painfully early morning shift at Starbucks. Thanks to three of today’s bestselling teen authors—John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle—the magic of the holidays shines on these hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and breathtaking kisses."

I´ll give it a 8 out of 10 ;)
Its a wonderful book and a lovely story about a major road trip ;) and it made me wanna just take off and do the same thing soo badly...
I am kind of in a state of mind atm where I just want to run away sometimes...big time and then I remember how I did take off many years ago and went backpacking though Ireland all alone without a plan and without a goal. Sometime that makes me wonder how was this person and how brave was she..nineteen and all alone in a strange country with little money and nowhere to actually go or be. But sometimes it makes me dream and the thought makes me want to go again and reading this book did not really help ;) I would love to pack my stuff hop into a van and just drive where ever fate leads go where ever I think it looks the nicest and just spontaneously decide how long I want to stay...jap that s what this book made me think ;) and that´s what it is about just follow your feeling and be yourself or become yourself again...adventures, thoughts, spending time with yourself, reflecting, meeting new people and new horizons... I loved it a lot even tho the writing style was not too much my fave even tho I could not really say why ^^
