WHAT I WATCHED LAST WEEK - OCTOBER
Hi everyone )
After a September full of only watching videos, mostly Lets Plays, on Youtube I am finally back and motivated for movies and tv series and am in a mood to commit myself ;)
Who else sometimes can not watch a full film because you know you´ll have to commit about two hours for it...honestly it´s too much sometimes - is this strange? Am I alone?
But recently I am back into binge watching and movie marathons ;)
My main source still is Netflix and Amazon Prime of cause but I also venture into my old DVD collection a lot atm ;) So I decided to write another one of these little What am I watching atm posts ^^
Netflix:
- Emily in Paris: obviously...who didn´t watch this one ;) I gotta say I loved it. I know there are many who say they didn´t like it or even hated it and I so see where they´re coming from. I think especially people who live in the world of Emily or know it better and feel like there are many false details or even insulting bits about it. I get that but at the same time I feel like everyone should be able to differ from a movie world and our reality, I always try that. I see why many say Emily is the worst friend ever , the pile of bad clichĂ©s and all the other bad things you can say but I still loved it and now I want to move to Paris and live there and work there and see all those beautiful places.
- Sex and the City 1 and 2: after watching Emily in Paris I wanted all the fashion series and movies out there ;) I wanted to start the SatC series all over again which unfortunately is on no online streaming platform buuut I have the DVDs so more about that later ^^ I found both satc movies on Netflix so I watched them and cried way too much especially in the 1st one ;)
- Enola Holmes: another one of those I know so many watching and liking it ^^ I loved it! I´ve always been a Sherlock Holmes fan. Watched all the films out there all the series and spin offs, read all the books and listened to everything related to it and I was reall excited when I saw the trailer for the first time...I even was a bit disappointed when I realised it was only one movie and not a series like it thought at first. I loved the new view on the world, the sets and costumes are amazing in my opinion, whether or not they´re historically correct...I also loved the way it was made with the different points of view and how it jumped from here to there in time and place ^^
- Hubie Halloween - well I have to say even if its fun to watch this one I also found it quite silly, like someone really wanted it to be funny and missed the point quite often...it´s just a bit to stupid funny for my taste but I liked the twist in the end which I never expected and it´s a fun light Halloween watch.
- American Horror Story: Yes I still watch it and am still not through with all seasons ;) but its so perfect for a pre-Halloween watching session ;) I just can not watch too much of it at a time that´s why it takes so long until I´m done. ^^
- Carmen SanDiego: another new one I tried and liked. It´s not my all time fave and won´t watch it again but I love the style it is drawn in and the story is fun. I am through with Season 1 and not sure whether or not to continue with the other seasons...
- Gossip Girl: another one inspired by Emily in Paris ^^ and another one I can´t watch too many episodes at a time even tho I don´t know why ;)
DVD Collection:
- Sex and the City: After watching the movies on Netflix I started watching the series in form of the DVD collection I got years ago ^^ I just think SatC is something you can watch any time and also I always get major fashion inspiration from it ;)
Amazon Prime:
- The Coroner: after ending my BBC Player abo this month I wanted to get as much out of it as possible before it was ending so I started watching everything on there and only stuck to a few and this was one of them. I just love British crime-ish stuff and I loved the heart felt approach and the light air around the not crime related scenes.
- Dr. Who: I also continued watching it due to it being only available in BBC Player and even tho I thought I´ve already seen every episode I realised there are many episodes I´ve never seen ;) I also really want to watch the episodes from the 1st Doctor on - does anyone know where I can watch them?
- Heartland: Yes I am one of those girls who love everything horsish ;) I´ve been horseback riding all my childhood and teens and really want to do it again so ya I am a horse person ^^ and therefor I love Horse TV Shows ;) even tho they make me sad because I miss horses
I am not sure how complete this list is to be honest...I mean one might think it´s easy to remember what you did a week ago but there is too much going on in one day...I´ll have to make a list next time ;)
What is your fave show atm and which one is THE one you keep coming back to and which one would you recommend and think I should watch?
xxx
