LIKE SILK ON YOUR SKIN: GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION

I´m never sure if I´m really the right person to write foundation reviews which is why I hardly ever do it, because I do not wear foundation that often and definitely not on a everyday basis. Most of the time I just throw on a bit of concealer and that´s it ;) and Foundation is more of a special ocassion thing for me. With this foundation however I could not resist to write a few words about ;)

Oh this one is on my wish list for so long now and I finally got this foundation after watching I think a Instagram Story by Rachel Parcell in which she talked about it as her favourite foundation and it looked so amazing that I had to try it myself.

This is one of those products you...or at least I love from the first second.
I´m always anxious when trying a new foundation because I have the trickiest skin type...all the dryness even tending to be flaky and sensitive and everyday it´s a different story... *annoyed eye rolling*
My fist impression with this was soooo amazing - no problem at all. No weird application streaks no irritated dry spots no tight feeling or coming through redness.

It has the most amazing luminous and radiant finish which reminded me of the NARS sheer flow foundation just less dewy looking, which is a win for me.
It´s so easy to apply and blend with both brush and sponge and stays on looking amazing, without creasing or it settling in pores, for a really long time. I often have the problem that my red cheek come through very quickly with other foundations and that it look rubbed off there but it took a lot longer with this one for this to happen.
And my skin felt great for a very long time during the day - no itchiness or tight feeling that makes you want to take it off asap.

The formulation is lovely and soft and creamy smooth and like I said blends really lovely. I also love that you do not need heaps of it for a full face and I needed the same amount for both brush and sponge.
It comes with a pump which makes it very easy to use and I needed two pumps for a full face and a good coverage.
I would say that the coverage is not necessarily full on but its easy to build and I love that it always keeps that natural look.

I got the foundation in 2 which is perfect for my skin tone. I tend to go just for the lightest shade possible but with this one I wanted it to be more of a perfect match ;) and it´s the second lightest so that´s a huge risk ^^ There are so many shades to pick from and I´m pretty sure there´s one for every skin tone.
If you want to check it out click here for a link to the Armani Website ^^
With its between 40-50€ prize point this is one of the most expensive beauty product I own...it´s hard to say whether I think it´s worth it...I love it a loooot and won´t want to miss the experience to use it but I´d definitely keep my eyes open for a sale because that is a hell of a lot of money for a foundation...it´s definitely the most expensive foundation I ever tried ;) I´m sure I got it on sale tho and I would do it again ;)

Now if you´d like to see my first impression and me using it and how it looks - here is a little video of it ^^

This is my first ever beauty product by Armani and the only one I have so far. Have you ever tried anything form the brand? Which product is your fave and which one can you recommend?

I´d love to try some others and would love to know what you think :)
xx
