A DREAM OF HAIR LIKE SILK: ILES FORMULA HAIR CARE PRODUCTS

Today I have something super exciting for you ^^ and something hair care routine transforming ;)

A few weeks ago I was asked by the brand Iles Formula whether I´d be interested in trying the hair care products and of cause, very excited, I said yes ;)

I have to admit I did not hear from the brand before but I was excited to receive the parcel after researching the products and the brand itself.

My first impression of the products was absolutely amazing - I love the packaging design and the quality. One of my fave little details is the magnetic closing of the box itself ;) haha I know probably not important but honestly little things like this can transform the whole user experience ;)

Further on into the little box I loved the comb which comes with it. It´s so convenient especially with the conditioner and after styling your hair later.

In the box which is the Discovery + Travel Kit you get four times three 9 ml sachets with the Haute Performance Shampoo, Conditioner and the Finishing Serum and of cause the wide teeth comb.

Everything has this gorgeous luxurious feeling to it, in its minimalist white and black packaging.

The first time I tried all the products was the longest time it ever took to wash my hair ;) haha. Taking pictures on your own whilst washing your hair is a tricky task ;)

Nevertheless I had enough time to realise how fantastic the products are.

So let´s see about those products.

My first impression of all of them was really good. Beside the amazing packaging all of them have a lovely subtle scent and I love the personal descriptions of the products on every sachet.

So my hair before washing it with the products for the first time was not really like hugely unhealthy or damaged looking besides a bit dry ends especially the bleached part, but a hair mask or two more probably would have been a good idea  ;) 

The Shampoo

Now first of all everything the little sachet says about this product.:

"My Signature Shampoo was created by selecting the most exclusive, high performing antioxidant-rich ingredients to work for all ages and hair types. It immediately detangles + repairs + protects hair while providing manageability and a luscious silky texture. This delicate formula cleanses without ever stripping color or drying. You will immediately feel the benefits of ILES FORMULA from the bounde and luster you´ll notice after just one shampoo. For the final touch, silk proteins will nourish your hair, resulting in sumptuous volume and body."

What I can say already is that description this does not promise too much ;) 

One thing I realised right from the beginning is the smooth but quite liquid formula. It´s quite easy to spread all over your hair and to make sure every spot gets some ;)

When massaging it in it does create a wonderful indulgent and luxuriously rich lather and smells wonderful. Another aspect the description does not promise too much about is when it says that it immediately detangles ^^ 

Usually I have a quite the knotty mess after washing out shampoo and the hair is not smooth until conditioner comes in, but this shampoo leaves your hair really soft and smooth :)

When you have long and thick hair like me you´ll definitely need the whole sachet for one wash but I guess it´s supposed to be like this.

One little down side I experienced is that I personally had a bit of a problem with washing the shampoo out. I tend to wash my hair, due to its length, bent over the bath tub and it´s always a bit harder to wash shampoo out of your hair that way. At the same time I feel like that you have to make sure to wash it out completely, especially when it comes to the roots and your scalp. 

Unfortunately I think my scalp won´t deal with this shampoo nicely. Even after making sure to wash it out thoroughly the second time I realised that my scalp seems to be dryer and building more dandruff and also that it gets oily quicker than usual. My scalp wasn´t itchy at all or anything and feeling nice and clean all the time but some ingredient might not be good for my scalp skin which is a real pity because I just love what it does to the length of my hair - so soft and nourished.

The Conditioner

On the sachet:

One application and you will immediately see dullness, frizz and rough texture disappear. Silk proteins create an immediate voluptuous effect. Making hair supple and easy to style. Even when wet, your hair will feel smooth and silky. Knots and tangles slide aways leaving hair beautifully healthy, with a delicate perfume of white flowers."

From all the products the scent of this one was my least fave ;) even tho all of them seem to be similar or maybe the same, the conditioners scent is the strongest. I could not say that I did not like it, it just, funny enough, reminded me of something used at my dentist...hahaha ^^...I know its so weird.

The formula is wonderful, thicker than the shampoos but so lovely to spread over your hair and feels really soft and creamy.

With the conditioner I used the comb, which comes with the box, and this one really shows the conditioners magic ;) When there ever was a challenge for this conditioner it´s my hair ;)

To be honest I could not immediately magically glide through the air with the comb and there were a few knots left but it was a lot easier than usually and a lot better than how I imagined it to be ^^ and my hair was so so so soft with this conditioner in - silky smooth perfection and sooo soft!

Like with he shampoo I needed the whole sachet and even would have liked to have a bit more of it to be honest.

I absolutely love this conditioner, besides the scent there is nothing I did not like about it and I´d definitely buy this and would recommend it :)

After washing my hair I, as usual, wrapped it in my towel and left it there to dry mostly before going on to the finishing serum. As you can see its a bit knotty, a lot better than usually btw, and it needed a bit of detangling. I usually do that before it´s completely dry because I don´t want to look like a lion after an electric shock ;) So I did that with my tangle teaser before putting in the serum.

The Finishing Serum

First of all I´ve expected something completely different from this product and can not even say why ;) When reading the word serum I expected this to be something like the moroccan oil or like the Tigi S Factor Defrizzer and Tamer but I was surprised ;)

The scent of the serum is my fave of all three it´s lovely and subtle. The sachet contains enough product for at least to uses, in my opinion and way of use.

The best thing about this is definitely its styling properties. From defining natural curls/waves to holding any style you put in with heat. 

 

As you can see in the pics above my hair is naturally quite curly but also frizzy and therefor I always tend to heat style it. My hair looks really dry at the ends and I just do not like that wild look to much on myself ;) Btw the second time I washed my hair and used the serum I just combined it with a L´oréal Hair oil and that´s just what I needed for less dry ends and frizzy look.

So lets get through the styling process which includes no other heat protectant than the serum and my ghd gold styler.

 

The first pic shows you the perfection and super healthy and shiny and silky smooth look after styling the first layer of hair. The second one is a middle layer before styling - perfect beachy waves thanks to the finishing serum - so if you have hair like me but less - perfect look ^^

I am so impressed by this serum when combined with heat styling. I am still learning that whole curl with the gold styler thing and I still have a long way ahead of me but the hair looks perfectly curled all time until you wash your hair again. Of cause the curls drop and such but your hair has that perfect swoosh all the time and it gives that grip and texture....ahh heavenly.

And it feels soo perfectly soft and smooth and so healthy and happy.

I actually caught myself looking at it and admiring the styling ;) hahaha

I would definitely recommend this serum and once you get used to using it it´s just amazing. I´m now thinking of saving up to be able to buy it some time soon ^^

So ya that´s a lot of information isn´t it, I hope I did not bore you to death ;)

I really tried to collect all my thoughts and all the info that might be important ^^

I hoped to be able to try out all the products individually and in combo with other products but unfortunately ran out of time...I´ll try to do a follow up post soon ^^

I also decided not to go too much into the brand and it´s story but it´s all on their website and really interesting to read, I hope you won´t mind that I just leave you the link ;)

I am really impressed with the products and the brand.

The sachets in this little box might not be the most practical way of packaging but the little box is amazing to discover the products and see which you like most.

So I can now say I would definitely buy both conditioner and serum - oh I want that serum ;) - and I love the shampoo but would not buy it just because of my scalps reaction.

I absolutely love the design both of this little box and of the full size products, it just gives that luxurious vibe.

I am so happy that the brand contacted me about this little trial since it´s been a pleasure to try the products. I might not have learned about them since I rarely venture into the luxurious hair care brands.

All three of the products have a higher prize point and might be a little throw back to many but now that I´ve learned about the amazingness of the products I can say if you have some money left to splurge a bit I´d do it ^^ I´ll definitely do it ;)

I hope very much that I did not overwhelm you with all the info and pictures I just really wanted to make sure to mention everything I thought and experienced ;)
