A LITTLE LUXURY FOR THE UNDER-EYE: YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT RADIANT TOUCH
When it comes to concealer I most certainly do not stop buying only because of a higher prize point ;)
Concealer is one of the maybe even the most important part of my everyday makeup so I´ll just try them all just to find the best of them ;)
After seeing Suzi from HelloOctober talking about this one I really wanted to try it (even tho it´s not technically a concealer per se ^^) and yes I have to admit the prize point made the think about it twice...but as usual a Sale came and I had no reason to say no anymore ^^
I´ve got to admit I have not been blown away by this right from the beginning on. I needed a few times using it and testing it until I found a way to apply and blend it in a way it turned out to be very nice ;)
First time I used it, it was my replacement for the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and I gotta say the coverage is not near. Also I tend to only use concealer all over my fave on a regular work day and this YSL concealer is not the one to do this with...you just need way too much.
It´s amazing in combo with foundation tho because it´s lovely and brightening, blends nicely into the foundation without moving it and gives lovely additional coverage for under-eye circles or blemishes. Still I would say this gives more of a medium coverage, buildable but not full coverage compared to something like the Shape Tape range...I just need to add that this one is technically a illuminating pen or so called so its more a product to highlight than to cover....I had to learn that myself to be honest ;)
The formulation is lovely and soft and creamy smooth and like I said blends really lovely.
To apply it you press the button on the bottom of the golden pen (which looks sooo luxurious btw ^^) and the product comes out kind of inside the little brush on the top, I´d say one or two pumps are enough in combo with foundation or for a light coverage. When on it stays on very lovely and a loong time without creasing or looking funny so I got to say despite my bad first impression I really like it.
I got the shade 02 Luminous Ivory and its a beautiful shade which blends nicely into my skin. There are four shades in general: Luminous Radiance (fair/light/medium with pink undertones), Luminous Ivory (fair/light/medium with yellow or golden undertones), Light Peach (warm/golden beige), and Luminous Toffee (deep) - click here to check it out.
Keep in mind that these are meant to be a bit lighter - so highlight darker areas so don´t be confused when there are only four shades ;)
If you´d like to see me using it and how it looks here is a little video of it ^^
Have you ever tried anything form YSL Beauty? Which product is your fave?
Let´s chat about our fave concelaers ^^ which one do I have to try asap?
