THE COLOUR THAT STAYS ON ALL DAY: DIOR ADDICT LIP TATTOO

I do have a certain weakness for everything Dior ;)

Whilst everything Dior Fashion is so far out of my budget my dreams only dream of it I can afford a beauty item once in a while ^^ still very pricy buuut manageably especially in a sale or on a birthday wishlist ;)

I can´t really remember why I decided to go for one of the Lip Tattoo lipstick instead of any other but here we go ;) might be a price choice in a sale or something like this ^^ whatever it was here we go with my opinion about it ;)

The shade I went for is called Natural Berry (771) and it´s actually a wonderful name for this lovely berry shade with mauvy hints and a natural muted undertone. 

One of my fave things about this product is that depending on how much you apply you get a totally different look. The website itself says:

"Coloured tint - bare-lip sensation – extreme weightless wear. 

Dior Lip Tattoo, the first long-wear lip tint by Dior, is about to shake up your makeup routine. With its 12-hour wear,* comfortable formula and weightless no-transfer finish, the colour fuses to the lips like a tattoo just seconds after application." 

I love the "bare-lip" description since this actually is how I would describe it if you only apply a thin layer. I also love to built it a bit more for a more saturated look (see pic below) and isn´t it just amazing that you can create a look you want with something as easy as layering ^^

With all the amazingness in pigmentation and buildability...if that even is a word ;) ... there are also a few bits I am not so excited about. Starting with applying. Oh man this is one hard to apply lip product. I mean it goes on like a dream but it´s so hard to get a really nice and defined outline since the formula is so liquidy and that brings me to anther thing with might not be a problem for all of you but it is for me...actually a thing I often have a problem with in liquid lipsticks. Due to the liquid formula it bleeds out so easily on my lips...I mean I know a lipliner usually helps and everything but it does not with this one. I gotta say it helps a bit when you patiently apply a thin layer after another for a more saturated look...but how often do you have 20 minutes only for you lipstick applying? 

Another thing that helps a lot, makes the applying a lot easier and prevents bleeding out it is that you try to get rid of most of the product of the little applicator as possible - changes everything ^^ 

You see on the pic below there is actually quite a lot of product on the applicator...

Oh and one more thing with is a bit of a downside...I have the feeling that the product clings a bit too much to dry patches on your lips...I mean its easy to avoid that but I like it a bit more if you don´t have to ;)

Once you get the feeling for the product and get the hang of how to best apply it it´s a wonderful wonderful lip stain. You do not even feel in on your lips just the hint a lip balm feels like.

Just make sure to not apply too much otherwise it´ll make your lips feel quite try and it´ll look strange after some time. 

So all in all once you get the hang of it and know how to apply it and exfoliate your lips if needed its a wonderful product and it does what it says on the website and I really love the look its gives ^^

Now that I think about this product so much I actually want to get more colours ;) haha I don´t know if I would say it´s worth the like 35€ but it´s definitely worth to keep your eyes open for sales including this ;)
