THE PERFECT SHEER GLOW FOR THE FIRST RAYS OF SUMMER SUN - NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION IN MONT BLANC
Well, who has not heard about the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation?
I wanted to try this Foundation for so long and finally...some time ago I finally treated myself to it in a little sale ;)
I got the foundation in the shade Mont Blanc because it looks bright enough but not too bright and had the right undertones which usually go nicely with my skin tone...but to be honest buying a foundation at this price point online without matching beforehand is actually a bit stupid ;) hahaha so I recommend you go out into a store and test is before ^^
But it went very well for me actually - lucky me - the colour is absolutely perfect ;)
The main reason I wanted to try this so badly is A because I heard the best things about it and B because it just looked so perfect on everyone showing it - no matter what skin type and I loved that because I very often struggle quite a lot with my quite dry skin.
So my expectations were really really high - not an easy state of mind to try a new product to be honest ;) I have not been disappointed yet! The Glow guys the glow ^^
Normally I tend to go more for a matter finish - just a personal fave - but with this foundation you can have the absolute best of both worlds ;) Even if you finish with a matte powder the glow itself goes nowhere ;)
I tend to apply the foundation with a buffing or a paddle brush since the formula is very liquid I experienced it works better than a beauty blender, but I also read that it works even better when us work it in with your fingers, but I imagine that you also apply a bit more product but that way you also have a much higher coverage since I´d say the foundation has more a light-medium coverage but very buildable :) For me it covers most of my redness and imperfections with one layer - but thank god I am blessed with mostly blemish - free skin so most of the time I don´t have too much to cover and if I have to cover up more I just use a bit more of it ;) It also stays on nicely for to day.
If you want to see how it applies and works together with other makeup products - there a plenty of videos on my youtube channel - for example this one.

Besides the liquid-y consistency the formula is very soft and silky smooth which I really do like and it gives you a lovely glow-y natural look.
Brands Description:

I have not tried too many high end foundations yet so I can´t compare it with other foundations at the same price point but when compared to the drugstore foundation I tried so far its definitely in my Top 3 ;)
A highly highly recommend to use a hydrating primer with it - but isn´t that just a thing you gotta do with dry skin and foundation ;) But so far it actually worked and looked quite nicely even without a primer :) Well you get the usual dry spots after some time but I never tried a foundation (without primer) which did not have that down side. The major downside of this product is actually that it does not come with a pump which is a major down side especially with this very liquid formula - but you can get a pump for a little bit extra which never the less is totally unnecessary in my opinion - the foundation is expensive enough (43€) the pump (2,50€) could be included.
So with all the amazing point to say about this product its very probable that it´s not perfection and there are downsides - but I enjoy using the foundation a lot and that´s most important ;)
Whether I´ll repurchase it or not is written in the stars - so far I´d say maybe not but that´s more due to the fact that there are many other I want to try before I buy it again ;)
What about you - a fan or not so much?
