BRIGHTEN UP YOUR EVERYDAY FACE: LUNAR BEAUTY LIFE´S A DRAG PALETTE

Well I have to admit I am not a bright eye wearer ;) but I love to add a pop of colour once in a while and now I have the perfect palette for exactly that ;)
The Life´s a Drag Palette is the first product launched by the brand Lunar Beauty founded by the amazing Youtube personality Manny Mua.
And I gotta say I really like it a lot :)
First of all I have to mention that this is not declared as an eye shadow palette it is a "Colour Palette" and therefor not necessarily meant for the eyes. I think the main reason for that it the fact that in favor of creating a completely Vegan product they decided to use some red pigments with the possibility of staining the skin around your eyes and to be save from people saying all the things against the brand or even suing them the palette is simply called Colour Palette ;) that´s just what I think tho...so do not rely on that please...if you know it better please let me know so I can learn or correct my assumptions ;)

Okay so with that out of the way ;) Back to the fun ^^

The Palette itself and its 14 Shadows is actually pretty easy to divide into several sections:
Neutral Mattes, Bright Shimmers and Bright Mattes and I thought its easier to talk through the colours that way ;) So

The six Neutral Mattes:

Cake Face - a pure bright white
Shady - lovely highly pigmented matte black
Sickness - a very nice beige shade with very strong yellow and orange undertones
Trade - a medium brown with strong red undertones and a warm look
Hunty - a very nice universal cool toned beige, very nice as a crease shadow - definitely my most used shade so far
Mug - a highly pigmented darker brown with cooler undertones

The two Bright Shimmers:

Beat - a gorgeous champagne gold which seems more like a silvery shimmer on the eyes
Legendary - a gorgeous bronze gold - such a gorgeous colour

and the six Bright Mattes:

Campy - a super bright sunflower yellow, a warm shade which blends into cooler tones
KaiKai - the brightest hot pink - so highly pigmented
Pageant Queen - a cooler toned purple so far my least favourite...could not say why tho ;)
Snatched - a warm medium dark red shade - very pigmented
Kiki - a lovely minty green shade - a little bit less pigment as it seems to me but still very bright
Fishy - a bright turquoise blue with a satin finish but the shimmer does not really show on the eyes

All the shadows have the most amazing pigmentation but still super easy to blend both out and into each other even the super bright colourful ones ;)

Just a quick note about the packaging ;)
It´s so pretty and nicely sturdy even tho the palette is quite huge its not too heavy and probably still nice to travel with in case you can´t live without it for a week or two ;) and it feels like a very nice quality too.
The mirror inside is amazing even tho it´s maybe a bit small to actually use it to do your makeup but the brush which comes with the palette is really nice and super soft.

Well what is the conclusion about this?
I gotta say besides the fact of risking a discoloration of the skin there is nothing bad I can say about this palette and I´d really love tho try more of the brand.
Also I have to add that I never experienced any discoloration at all not even the slightest and I have quite sensitive and dry skin.
I have a lot of fun playing with the palette and trying out all the colours together and in combination with others products.
I love the two foiled shadows and the pigmentation of all the shadows - its truly insane and you still can blend all of them nicely. I am very happy about this and would get it again if I´d have to ;)
I got mine from BeautyBay and you can get it for 40€ which is totally okay considering the quality :)

So lets put it in a nutshell...I like it and recommend it but be careful with the red pigments and maybe try a tiny spot first before you go all out...which is what I did actually but I´ve been lucky ;)

Have you tried any Lunar Beauty product yet?
What do you think about this palette or would you recommend any of the other products you can get by now?

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and would love to hear your opinion on this palette :)

xx
Ella
