2017 Reading Challenge - A Book from a Nonhuman Perspective - 31

Hello all you booklovers :)
Waiting for a new review? ^^ Well here you go ;)
A review for the category - A Book from a Nonhuman Perspective
and yes I know my choice might seem like I´m trying to make it as easy for myself as possible but...I actually really wanted to read this book sinc I´ve seen the movie in 2009.

Fantastic Mr Fox
by Roald Dahl

Again I helped myself to a review from goodreads

*
"Fantastic Mr. Fox is on the run! The three meanest farmers around are out to get him. Fat Boggis, squat Bunce, and skinny Bean have joined forces, and they have Mr. Fox and his family surrounded. What they don’t know is that they’re not dealing with just any fox–Mr. Fox would never surrender. But only the most fantastic plan ever can save him now."

"Through Another's Eyes:
Xenofiction

Xenofiction is fiction from a nonhuman perspective; that is, at least part of the novel is from the point-of-view of an alien, animal, monster, etc.
Xenofiction allows one to see from the eyes of a nonhuman creature or being.
Can include fantasy, science fiction, and animal fiction.

INCLUDES (less humanlike the better):
-Animals
-Aliens
-Robots and Machines
-Mythological and Magical Creatures

POSSIBLE (less humanlike culture or mindset the better):
-Half Human People (mermaids, centaurs, satyrs, cyborgs, sphinxes, manticores, etc.)
-Shapeshifters whose true form is not human
-Anthropomorphic Animal People -Androids -Nonhuman Hominids
-Nonhuman Fantasy People, Races, and Monsters

EXCLUDES:
-Transformed Humans (such as vampires, werewolves, angels, zombies, etc.)
-Magical Humans (wizards and witches)"

To be honest at first I thought I´d have to read a book from an animals persepective ;)
I never even thought about anything like mermaids or aliens ;)

I´ll give it a 9 out of 10 ;)
I just love this story...I love all of the Roald Dahl books I read so far...its pretty sad I never read one as a child but these book are not huge in Germany or at least they were not as I´ve been a child..as far as I remember ^^
So I´m pretty late on the whole Roald Dahl wagon but better late than never right? ;)
And I have to say its so worth it!
I just love all the characters so much and the adventures they have and the whole moral behind the stories!
What do you think?

And as always here are some more ideas
(as always all the little summaries are from goodreads and easily found if you look for the bookname)

Animal Farm by George Orwell
As ferociously fresh as it was more than a half century ago, this remarkable allegory of a downtrodden society of overworked, mistreated animals, and their quest to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality is one of the most scathing satires ever published. As we witness the rise and bloody fall of the revolutionary animals, we begin to recognize the seeds of totalitarianism in the most idealistic organization; and in our most charismatic leaders, the souls of our cruelest oppressors.

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo
Welcome to the story of Despereaux Tilling, a mouse who is in love with music, stories, and a princess named Pea. It is also the story of a rat called Roscuro, who lives in the darkness and covets a world filled with light. And it is the story of Miggery Sow, a slow-witted serving girl who harbors a simple, impossible wish. These three characters are about to embark on a journey that will lead them down into a horrible dungeon, up into a glittering castle, and, ultimately, into each other's lives. What happens then? As Kate DiCamillo would say: Reader, it is your destiny to find out.

Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Phillips
Being a Greek god is not all it once was. Yes, the twelve gods of Olympus are alive and well in the twenty-first century, but they are crammed together in a London townhouse--and none too happy about it. And they've had to get day jobs: Artemis as a dog-walker, Apollo as a TV psychic, Aphrodite as a phone sex operator, Dionysus as a DJ. Even more disturbingly, their powers are waning, and even turning mortals into trees--a favorite pastime of Apollo's--is sapping their vital reserves of strength. Soon, what begins as a minor squabble between Aphrodite and Apollo escalates into an epic battle of wills. Two perplexed humans, Alice and Neil, who are caught in the crossfire, must fear not only for their own lives, but for the survival of humankind. Nothing less than a true act of heroism is needed-but can these two decidedly ordinary people replicate the feats of the mythical heroes and save the world?
